Our History
1988
Dr. János Csikós former mechanical development leader of MEDICOR and his ex-colleagues founded a development/ engineering office.
The team was set-up from the best and most creative mechanical development engineers. His team's highly valuable knowledge and creativity in development of X-ray mechanics became obvious.
The pilot project was the design of weight balancing system to replace big and heavy counterweights of a fluoroscopy system. The mechanical solution was patented.
1994
Based on the promising opportunities Dr. Csikós saw the time is ripe to establish Mediagnost Kft. The partnership and trust with PHILIPS become strong enough to start first serial production of the co-developed medical X-ray height adjustable table. The table was the beginning of the success story: More than 18.000 pcs were produced until today
1996
Mediagnost Kft moved to a new site. The co-developments of fluoroscopy and radiology medical X-ray table bases, modules and complete mechatronics continued in the new headquarters. Mediagnost started to set up its own manufacturing capabilities: machining, welding, sheet-metal processing, painting, assembly. Parallel to that manufacturing experts and professionals joined to further extend the know-how of the company
2006
The available capacities and good reputation in the medical X-ray market resulted that production of X-ray analogue cassette holders later on even highly integrated mobile surgery base units for another multinational partner SIEMENS started.
2010
Starting of a new business unit with precision fine-mechatronics: production and co-development of X-ray collimators.
The excellent quality, good responsiveness and the innovative mechatronics upgrade ideas resulted that co-development of mobile surgery X-ray family with the new customer started. Cooperation with a new partner was honored with Hungarian Quality Award: Control-X Kft / Mediagnost Kft - Z-Motion Universal X-ray motion unit
2017
Mediagnost decided to invest in automation and robotization. First implementation was the installation of the MIG welding robot, was continued with the installation of robotized gluing system, followed by an investment into a loading robot equipped horizontal milling machine.
2022
To Maintain continuity of business operations Dr. Csikós János Assets Foundation was established. The private assets foundation become the owner of Mediagnost Kft. The board of trusties are managers of Mediagnost.

Dr János Csikós (1941-2025)
Dr. János Csikós is the former Head of Engineering Development at MEDICOR, a UN Expert Diplomat and Adjunct Professor.
He founded Mediagnost Ltd. and laid the foundations for the long-term development of our company by acquiring the first stores. His work and his personality have left a lasting mark, and his memory will be cherished.
Inventor and owner of several patents for mechanical solutions for X-ray medical devices.
Several articles have been published about his and Mediagnost's achievements and successes.
Dr. Ferenc Zsembery (1939-2024)
The Mediagnost Ltd. (2016), retired production director and financial director.
He graduated as a certified mechanical engineering technologist at the Technical University of Budapest, where he later became an adjunct professor, during which time he also headed the mechanical engineering technical laboratory.
During his active years and afterwards, he was a key figure in the life of Mediagnost Ltd. His dedication, professionalism and responsible thinking have shaped the company's operations over the long term. His wise counsel and humanity were a source of confidence for everyone; his presence not only provided direction but also built community. We cherish his memory with respect and gratitude.
